Immerse
yourself in Romania's rich history,
culture and cuisine

Hello and welcome to Harvest House Transylvania! We do things a little differently than most of the accommodations you'll find in Transylvania. We're an upscale agritourism guesthouse incorporating premium accommodations with an exceptional immersive organic farm stay experience. Meet the locals, get to know the history, learn about the culture, and indulge in traditional Transylvanian, Romanian and Gypsy cuisine. Let Harvest House help you explore the more personal and intimate side of Transylvanian not readily available to most travelers.
Relax
in one of our exquisite guest rooms
We have 5 traditionally appointed guest rooms with hand painted furniture for an enhanced guest experience. All rooms are comfortable and inviting with private en suite western style bathrooms, a TV, beautiful garden views, and plenty of space to hang your clothes and spread out your toiletries.

Reservations include a delicious family-style peasant breakfast, access to our common areas, beautiful gardens to relax in, help around the farm as you wish, free fast and reliable wifi, secure self parking, and opportunities to talk with our friendly staff and neighbors about their life experiences living in an ex-communist, now Western leaning, country.
Participate
in a variety of farm activities, or . .
do nothing at all!
Curious about how things were done over 100 years ago? Come join us in a wide variety of daily farm activities using traditional farming methods. It's an experience you won't find at any other accommodation. Your time will fly by as you participate in our fascinating and fun activities, all of which are part of every day life in rural Transylvania. There's a seasonal activity every day of the week and may include processing honey, making palinka (a local double distilled fruit brandy), crushing grapes for wine, picking, drying, or grinding peppers for paprika spice, making jams and preserves, and so much more!
Indulge
in farm fresh traditional Romanian,
Hungarian and Gypsy cuisine
In addition to our delicious peasant breakfasts, we also prepare village style lunches, and dinners using the different traditional and ethnic styles of Transylvania: Romanian, Hungarian and Gypsy. All of our meals are prepared on-site using locally sourced ingredients and fruits and vegetables grown in our organic fields. You are more then welcome to watch or participate in the fun and educational meal preparations.
in our beautiful gardens and peaceful setting
We do things the old fashion way . . . and that makes all the difference. Our fields are hand tilled throughout the growing season, our flower beds are hand prune, and we especially enjoy watching our gardens and fields grow and produce delicious fruits, vegetables and flowers for our guests. We love sharing the fruits of our labor with you.

Our gardens are lush and our fields are full of life. Birds fly by looking for insects, songbirds whistle their tune, and we have some barn owls who come check out what's happening in the mornings and evenings. There's a variety of private seating areas that are perfect for relaxing, reading, napping, and just taking in the village life experience.
